SELECTABLE DRIVE MODES
Select your driving mode by turning a knob. 4H is ideal for light off-road driving, while 4LO is for serious off-roading in sand, snow or mud. When the highway calls, 2WD keeps things more economical.
Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS)
Whenever it senses a wheel beginning to slip, the Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS) system automatically brakes the slipping wheel and sends additional power to the wheels with the most traction.
Electronic-locking rear differential
Adding to the capability of the 4x4, the electronic-locking rear differential delivers equal power to both rear wheels, boosting traction to help keep you moving forward.
HILL START ASSIST
When starting on steep hills from a stop, hill start assist will help keep you from rolling backwards. It holds brake pressure for a few seconds, allowing you time to switch from the brake pedal to the accelerator.
HILL DESCENT CONTROL
When driving down a steep grade in 4WD, hill descent control can help. Just push the button, ease your foot from the accelerator, and this system automatically maintains speed and brake pressure to help provide a controlled descent.

Most low-hanging components are designed to be above the height of the frame rails, including a rear suspension designed with the leaf springs over - instead of under - the rear axle for maximum ground clearance.

Frontier offers plenty of room for just about anything you need to carry – over 1.8 metres in the King Cab bed and over 1.5 metres in the Double Cab, with well over a metre of useful space between the wheel arches. Its tough chassis can handle up to 1500 lbs. of cargo, and the available spray-on protective bedliner means you won’t need to worry about tossing it in gently.
